bike highrise up in Jakarta!

Got some good news from a friend who just went back home to Indonesia. He said the cycling community there is growing! and thats what I'd love to hear!

Us Jakartanian people, we are very different - we dont breathe air. Yeah, thats right. We breathe thick clouds of gas emissions. Most of the times we still think that its too bland, we light up fags with 30+mg of tar and nicotine to top it all off. Yep, oh, how I love the tasty air of Jakarta!

My point is, thats how fucking useless it is to get fresh air in Jakarta(you cant even see the clouds there). So, with schemes like Cycle to Work and such, that would give a huge hand in helping our; disgustingly polluted and over-crowded roads be more cleaner, at least; somewhat exhaust-like lungs; and earth.

I wonder if the fixed gear couture has hit?
